Outcomes of the activities of the SSB RT “Amonatbоnk” in the first quarter of the 2021

On the 10th of April 2021, a meeting on the outcomes of the activities of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” in the first quarter of the 2021 took place in the head office of the SSB RT “Amonatbank”, which was attended by the Chairman of Board Ikromi S.S., Deputies of Chairman Sayfzoda Sh. J., Rizvonzoda F. Z. and heads of the structural units of the central office of the SSB RT “Amonatbonk”. The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Finance Department of the Executive Office of President of the Republic of Tajikistan, member of the Board Naimi Alamkhon Qodiriyon, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, member of the Board Safarzoda Rukmina Safar, Head of the NBT Department of control over micro-finance organizations Abdulloev Zafar and the Head of Department of finance and accountancy of the Agency for social insurance and pension under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Ahmedov Ittifoq Qahramonovich.
At the start of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of Board of the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan “Amonatbonk” Sayfzoda Sh. J. presented a report on the results of the activities of Amonatbonk in the first quarter of the 2021. It was noted that in the first quarter of this year SSB RT “Amonatbonk” made all efforts to effectively fulfill the instructions of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellence Emomali Rahmon as well as the priorities in the sector for 2021, having fulfilled the plan and received an income of 13.9 mln. TJS, which is 39% higher than in the analogous period in 2020. The equity of the Bank in the first quarter of the year constituted 471.9 mln. TJS, which is 7.5% higher than in the analogous period in 2020. The assets and liabilities of the Bank amounted to 4.6 bln. TJS and 4.1 bln. TJS, respectively, which are 5.2% and 4.9% higher compared to the figures for the analogous period of 2020, respectively.
The Bank spent a total amount of 24.8 mln. TJS on transferring taxes and other mandatory payments to the republican and local budgets in the first quarter of 2021, which was 6.6% higher than the figure for the analogous period of 2020. In accordance with the instruction by the Leader of the Nation, Amonatbonk is taking necessary measures to facilitate the growth of credit in the banking system by more than 100 bln. TJS in the next 7 years, and to attract foreign investments. As of March 31, 2021, The Bank has given out loans of 238 mln. TJS from internal and external reserves to more than 18 thousand customers. As a result, the number of borrowers has increased by 29.7%, and the volume of credit – by 5.3%, compared to the analogous period in 2020. The Bank loans constituted 28.3% for the industrial sector, 21.4% for agriculture, 20.4% for consumption, 7.9% for construction, 13.2% for trade, 7% for transport, and 1.8% for other services (tourism, healthcare, food security). In order to eliminate the shortcomings in the volume of lending to the national economy, the Bank, as part of the implementation of the fourth strategic goal - rapid industrialization of the country and ensuring food security in the reporting period, provided more than 50% of loans to the industrial sector of the country and agriculture. At the same time, taking into account the high customer demand and the beginning of the sowing season, the Bank additionally launched concessional lending under the name «Kishovar” for the period from February 1 to April 30, 2021, which was already successfully implemented in 2020.
Also, at the expense of the credit line of the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of trade finance in the amount of US $ 33 million, loans were provided to 11 domestic companies in the amount of US $ 6.1 million for the import of goods and products from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
